walking and first haircut!

Emerson is now walking! He didn't want us to help him at all while he was trying to walk! He just started walking one day and hasn't looked back since! He wants to go outside with his daddy now. I will have to admit it is kind of nice but now he is a daddy's boy more than ever!




He also got his first haircut on June 5. His hair wasn't very long except right behind both of his ears. Some days it was curly other days it wasnt. Emerson wasn't a big fan of getting his haircut, but he loved watching Mrs. Jamie cutting his hair.

First Birthday

I have been meaning to post these pictures for a while and just haven't gotten around to it. Emerson had such a great time at his party. He didn't really understand why everyone was there, and they were watching him. He was a big momma's boy until he got use to everyone there. This has been the best year of my life. Emerson has been such a blessing for us, and I can't imagine our lives without him in it!

Feeding Maggie

Emerson loves Maggie and loves to feed her. He got so tickled feeding her I had to film and share it!

Emerson is a 1 year now!

I can't believe how fast this year has gone by! He is the best thing that has ever happened to Justin and I. I can't imagine my life without him. We are having a birthday party on Sunday. His favorite thing is Mickey Mouse so that is what we are having is a Mickey Mouse birthday party! My mom got him a blanket with Mickey on it when he had tubes put in his ears, and we laid it on the floor for him to crawl all over. He will look at it and yell Mickey! I found his outfit on a website and bought it for his birthday party.

He says so many new words and he gets excited to eat almost anything except for peaches and bananas. He has a texture issue that I hope we get over soon! We aren't walking but our crawling is so fast that he might as well be running! I love him more that I ever could imagine. I enjoy watching him get excited to see his da da. I love to see my parents with Emerson too. My dad also thinks he is saying big da da and I would have to agree with him on this. (The grandkids call him big daddy)

This has been a great year for us and can't wait for the many years to come!






This is our new favorite thing to do. He goes to the door, points and then grunts at the door, and tries to say outside. He enjoys to go swing eventhough it kills his allergies! The dogs we have in the backyard love for us to come out and play. Emerson thinks all dogs are called Maggie, so the two dogs in the back get called Maggie. They don't mind though they just love the attention from Emerson! When he is actually walking it will be so much easier for him and daddy to go outside together and mommy do things inside!

Easter Egg Hunt

Emerson had his first Easter egg hunt with our Sunday School class on Saturday. I think he enjoyed himself! I had to carry him around to get the eggs. He doesn't like to touch the grass, so if the eggs were in tall grass I had to move it so he could pick it up! He put the eggs in his basket and was ready for more. We are going to dye Easter eggs sometime this week. I am sure that is going to be really messy, but it's something I want to start doing with him every year!

Videos

I was drying my hair the other morning and Emerson was 'cleaning' his old bathtub. I was scared he was going to fall and hit his head on the bathtub, so I moved the tub on the floor. He had the best time climbing in and out of it! He could of been entertained for hours! I finally just sat on the floor and played with him.


His Aunt Heather got him a ball popper for Christmas but he doesn't really care that it doesn't always have the balls in it. He loves the music! He will crawl over to it turn it on and play around it. When the music turns off he will turn it back on and continue to play, and now he has started to dance! He turns the music on and dances. Sorry the video is a little dark, it was during the day and the sun was shining in through the skylight.


I have so many videos I want to get posted. He has a unique crawl that everyone must see to believe!

Daffodil Garden

We went to a Daffodil Garden this weekend to take pictures. It was a beautiful day outside a little cool but it was nice. Emerson loves to be outside but not a fan of sitting on the ground at all!











I just wanted a picture of him by himself. I held his hand and the whole time he was screaming! I let go of his hand and he stood there long enough for my dad to take his picture. I can't believe how fast he is growing up! He will be a year old next month!!!
